Hola peeps! Thank you all so much for all the birthday greetings. I had a wonderful birthday that seems to be lasting forever and ever and ever. It's been great!! Thanks also for all the comments you guys left while I was away. Even though they were random comments....who else has gotten 50 comments about birds getting trapped or hit or killed or brutally murdered in some way form or fashion?!?! I'd like to thank jce_superbeast especially along w/ chester and if you have any questions, thoughts or if you'd just like to speak your mind please post your comment on their blogs. http://intellectualsuperbeast.motime.com/ and http://chesterglasses.motime.com/ I'd almost tell you to share your thoughts and feelings with harriene 79, but she wasn't quite as determined as the other two to reach that big number 100 as the other two I don't think. hehe Btw, hariene 79, I hope you had a great bday....I haven't had a chance to read your blog yet, but I will. Now, my trip to the Bahamas....WONDERFUL!!!! I don't know where to begin. We arrived in Atlanta and arrived in Miami on schedule. We boarded a bus and were taken to the ship. We had to go through all the usual what if's and things....but all in all it wasn't so bad. The ship left on schedule, we toured the ship (totally amazing they can put 20 something elevators on ONE boat) People tell you that you can't go hungry on a ship.....I do have to disagree on that one. Anyone that knows anything about me knows that I am a picky eater, so the food wasn't up to par for me. I lived off of ice cream the entire week until the last day I found a store on the ship that actually sold Doritos. If I had known about that store in the beginning of the week I probably would have gained weight. hehe I hate packing clothes for trips. You never know how to pack....unless you're going someplace like the Bahama's, right???? Well, I took my cute little skorts (shorts and skirts) my capri's.....just normal summer attire. Thank GOODNESS I found a little shop with a Carnival Cruiseline sweat shirt. Everywhere on the ship was freezing!!! It was hard getting off the ship when there were so many clubs, bars, etc. to enjoy BUT I did let everyone drag me off the boat to enjoy PARADISE ISLAND!!! Everyone should be able to experience this place at least once in life. I didn't realize this, but THIS is where LIVE! with Regis and Kelly go and film their show one week a year. Anyway, the island is beautiful. They offered every kind of tour imaginable. Jay and I got to swim with the dolphins!!! One of the dolphins actually picked me up and carried me across the water, it was amazing. The people on the island were so friendly, but it was pretty sad to see their lifestyle. It made me thankful for the life I have. I mean, I'm not judging anyone, but I don't have to beg anyone for money just so I can braid their hair. Let's see, what else.........the entire trip was just more than I've been able to take. Many people experience these things all the time and I've been on a cruise before....but never so lucky to experience for such a long time with my entire family. Jay is a wonderful person and whatever I did in life to have been so lucky to have been given the opportunity to have him in my life, I am forever thankful. He will forever be blessed, loved and thanked. He'll never know what a difference he's made in my life and I wish him nothing but happiness. He's in NY now trying to open up a couple of new businessess while he's managing two more here in Atlanta. Please keep your fingers crossed for him that he'll be able to get his businesses up and running w/ little to no problems. I'll share some pics w/ you guys soon....I promise. Thanks again for sticking w/ me while I was away!!! Oh....and what in the world am I going to do without the straw market???????? (if I were on my computer, I'd have lots of smilies....but I'm not at home so I can't share my expressions via this computer...come back later for the full affect..lol)
Off to Paradise Island in three hours!!
(Actually ..the airport to Miami in 3 hours) ..then to Paradise Isand. I'll be back to my blogging either June 19 or 20th. Hope you all have a nice time while I'm away. And I'm finally gonna say to hell w/ that fat butt...I'm wearing that bikini!!!!! hehe
OMG...could a bipolar person be any happier?!?! i got an early birthday present from jay today...well, it's not just for me, but for the entire family. WE'RE GOING TO THE BAHAMAS!!!! he said he wanted everything to be perfect and all the plans to be taken care of before i got my hopes up. he handed me my tickets today. he did tell me that customs would be a bitch, but not to sweat it b/c the rest of it is worth it!! i am so excited....or as excited as i can be. i've been on a cruise before, but not w/ the entire family. this is going to be one of the most memorable trips of my life. we're leaving on thursday and i don't think i have enough time to go shopping for those cute little outfits that people wear on cruises. i am literally on top of the world (looking down on creation) ...isn't that a song??? haha Anyway....just thought I'd share my good news for a change!!
This is for my very special person Jay who's visit has become much shorter than we expected. If no one else reads this, it's okay because it's all for you Jay. You have been a friend to me over the past several years and I can't even begin to go into the silly and crazy times we've had. What exactly is a friend? A friend is someone who reaches for your hand....and touches your your heart. What comes to the heart, goes to the heart. Friendship blossoms when two people say to each other, in effect: "What? You too? I thought I was the only one! The friendship that Jay has given me by circumstances over which we have no control was God's own gift. Long sought, rarely found, and forever kept. Thank you so much for believing in me before I every thought I could believe in my self. xoxoxo
have you ever done anything so horrifically stupid, i mean SO stupid that when it's all over you have to look back and actually laugh about it to keep from feeling so dumb. well, i have. probably more than once, well -i'm sure more than once- but i'll only share what i did last night. one of my favorite picture frames had a tiny piece that came off the back which was keeping the picture from staying inside the frame. i got a tube of super glue and was going to glue the tiny little piece back and everything would just be beautiful. being the handy woman that i am NOT, i dripped super glue on my toes. not all my toes, but TWO of my toes. before i realized it, it had dried and now i have to two toes super glued together. i've picked and picked and yes, even used my teeth to try and remove the super glue from these two toes-to no avail. i'm just thankful that it wasn't my big toe and the one beside it....don't know what i'd do w/o my flip flops.
